Why Do We Exist?
Founded in 2020, the Urega Foundation is a pan-African youth-led NGO founded in the Netherlands with an official branch in Cameroon.
At The Urega Foundation, we believe that for Africa to move forward, individuals from all backgrounds should be able to contribute to its growth, especially outstanding leaders who grew up in less fortunate circumstances but have a deep desire to make a difference for themselves and their communities.
Our commitment is to find, support, and empower these talents, channeling our resources towards helping them access the tools and resources and gain the skills to launch or grow initiatives they believe will make a positive difference.
This drives our actions to contribute to pushing Africa forward by investing in its future.
Why Did We Launch A Scholarship?
We believe that by finding and supporting leaders who are both young enough to have big dreams and mature enough to have an idea of what it takes to achieve them, we can influence them to keep dreaming and, in the long run, support them when they want to bring their ideas to life.
Our program is designed to touch the academic and personal front, allowing us to develop tight bonds with these future leaders and continuously help them channel their energies toward positive initiatives for their communities.
